Kwan Yin Live

Spontaneously painting a very large image of Kwan Yin, the Buddhist Bodhisattva of Compassion, as a performance piece for a fundraiser of San Francisco Insight Meditation Community, a Buddhist sangha. The image was inspired by a famous Chinese wood carving of a seated Kwan Yin from Shanxi Province (A.D. 907-1125). I was accompanied by kirtan singer Sita Jamieson.
